The Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University

The Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University, is one of the Top 100 Best Hospital in China, which was founded in 1941 and has grown into the most comprehensive and strongest tertiary care hospital in Guizhou Province. Rooted in the fertile land of central Guizhou, it integrates medical treatment, education, and research, serving as a critical pillar for the province’s emergency care, medical innovation, and talent cultivation in critical illnesses.

The hospital currently has 5,200 staff members, with 2,025 authorized beds and 3,500 operating beds. It comprises 55 clinical departments, 78 wards, 15 medical technology departments, and 26 administrative department.

In recent years, the hospital has prioritized advanced medical technologies. Since 2019, it has performed 1,106 Da Vinci robotic surgeries – top in the province. Since 2017, it has conducted 135 liver transplants and 676 kidney transplants, ranking second in Southwest China for kidney transplant volume after Huaxi Hospital.

Solution

In February 2022, The Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University officially launched the “ATCENTRAL®” system, achieving closed-loop traceability management for all reusable instruments across the hospital. The system also enables consumable inventory management, covering procurement, storage, and distribution.

Furthermore, the hospital utilizes “ATCENTRAL®” for national quality control indicator reporting. The system’s statistical dashboards provide real-time data analysis of key performance metrics, enabling administrators to monitor compliance rates and optimize clinical workflow standardization. The system has significantly enhanced standardized workflow management across departments.
